  Armageddon Battle

God directed the outcome of ancient Israels battles. Will he be directing the outcome of the Armageddon Battler for them, or has he given up on Israel?

Armageddon is God's Battle against His enemies. In Revelation it is called the Battle of that great Day of God Almighty. (Rev. 16:14)

God will direct the outcome of the Armageddon Battle for Israel as He has never given up on that nation. He has many times fought a battle for them and will do so in the final Armageddon battle. God has promised that He will fight for Israel as He did previously: Zechariah 14:2,3 "For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle....Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle."

In the Jewish Age, from the time of the death of Jacob, God was helping Israel in their battles when they looked to Him for their help, during the time that he specially favored that nation. "You only have I known of all the families of the earth." (Amos. 3:2) There was however a great tribulation which came upon Israel in the end of that Age (in AD 70) because they had rejected Gods Son, who had been sent exclusively to them in the beginning--Jesus first advent. In the end of the present Gospel Age a much greater trouble will fall upon "Christendom"--a people which has also not been worthy of his teachings and the light which has been given to them. This involves all the nations of the world in the foretold Armageddon battle. (Rev. 16:16-21)

As a Father who loves His children, God has punished and corrected Israel for their sins through the centuries but plans a great age (day) of peace, rest, atonement and honor for them and their land in the near future. (Zech. 8:9-11 and Micah 7:8)
