Considering the Israel Peace Talks will Israel ever dwell in peace like it was promised to them?
As Israel sits precariously, as if on the edge of a cliff, the world waits to see what will happen to this smallest Middle East country having been engaged in Israel peace talks. Surrounded on all sides by her enemies whose fondest desire is to see her driven into the sea, she lives in great fear of eminent destruction regardless of the peace talks. Israel is daily in the news and many worldwide would also like to see her gone forever, believing that then peace would come to the area and ultimately to the whole world. (Zech. 12:3)
But the world does not realize that Israel is the nation that will ultimately bring true and lasting peace to the world, which was promised millennia before any of these Israel peace talks. (Isa. 2:3; Zeph. 3:20) In the final battle of Armageddon when the nations are in anarchy and there is no peace anywhere, God will step forth in the midst of this terrible battle and fight for Israel, as in the days of old (Zech. 14:3; Deut. 30:3). He will intervene in the battle that will then be worldwide and speak peace to Israel. (Ezek. 33-37) At this point Israel will be like an island of peace and tranquility in the midst of, so to speak, “a world gone mad.” At this time the prophets of old (as described in Heb. 11) will be raised from the dead and will supervise the affairs of Israel. They will be perfect men and women who will be directed by the Christ as to how to deal with the horrific problems of the world resulting from the Battle of Armageddon. At the beginning of the establishment of God’s kingdom on earth, mankind will need to undo the terrible problems that have resulted in Armageddon: hatred, greed, selfishness, mental instability and many other things that have resulted in the wreck of society. Today it is impossible for mankind to solve the desperate predicament he has gotten himself into (Luke 21:25) “with perplexity” actually means “no way out,” the state that the nations find themselves in today). It will take the perfect intellect and ability of these ancients, with the help of Christ and his bride to solve all of the world’s problems.
As the nations lie in ruin they will ultimately turn to Israel to seek help. They will see that Israel is dwelling in peace and quiet and they will enquire of the reason for this. (Zech. 8:23). As the nations slowly submit to the new order of things, they too will humbly come to Israel to learn the secret of their peace and prosperity. (Zech. 9:10; Micah 4:2) If they refuse to bow to God and Christ, though these ancients these nations will receive no help (Zech. 14:18–Rain–blessings) until they submit. (Zech. 14:17; Isa. 62:1). As each nation submits to the new order of things, they too will receive the bounties of the new kingdom, and they will join with Israel in spreading peace over the world. No problem will be too great for God and Christ to solve, no man or woman so fallen that God and Christ cannot recover them. All must have their share in the ransom sacrifice (1 Tim. 2:6) of Christ all and have the opportunity to learn, if they will, the love and righteousness of God. All will have the opportunity of life everlasting, and peace forever more if they will but obey and live.
