  Jesus Miracles

Jesus miracles were so wonderful. Why did he have to stop and God allowed him to die?

Jesus first miracle was changing the water into wine at the marriage feast in Cana. At this time it states in John 2:11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him. During the three-and-a-half years of his ministry on earth Jesus performed many miracles and healings. He raised the dead to life but in every instance with these, and the lame, the blind, etc., none of Jesus miracles were permanent as all of those people died and are in the grave awaiting the promised resurrection to life again. We would therefore understand that whatever Jesus did at that time were examples of what he would be able to accomplish through his glory when the time came to call all forth from the grave: John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice.

Towards the end of his ministry, Jesus asked his disciples whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. (Matt 16:15-21)

Why did Jesus have to die? St. Paul tells us in 1 Tim. 2:5,6 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. In order to be the Savior of the world, a ransom for all mankind, our Lord Jesus had to die and return to his Father in heaven. He needed to be a corresponding price for Adam: But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Cor. 15:20-22. This assures us that all will have an opportunity of life because Jesus died as the Savior of the world. Then the miracles of healing, health and life will be permanent as mankind will learn to live according to Gods righteous ways.
